Slide tiles on the 4×4 grid to merge matching numbers. Reach the 2048 tile to win — but you can keep playing to beat your high score!

Keyboard: ↑ ↓ ← → arrow keys slide all tiles.

Mobile: Swipe in any direction.

After every move a new 2 or 4 tile appears in a random empty cell.

When two tiles with the same number collide during a slide, they merge into one tile with their combined value (2+2=4, 4+4=8, etc.).

Each tile can only merge once per move. The merged value is added to your score.

• Keep your highest tile in a corner and build around it.
• Focus on sliding in only two or three directions to keep the board organized.
• Avoid filling the board — always leave room for new tiles.
• Use Undo if a move goes wrong!
